    Pengaruh Kombinasi Auksin-sitokinin Terhadap Pertumbuhan Buah Naga

    Perbanyakan tanaman dalam waktu singkat dan jumlah banyak dapat dilakukan melalui kultur jaringan. Penggunaan auksin dan sitokinin pada konsentrasi yang tepat dapat memacu pertumbuhan eksplan. Percobaan ini bertujuan untuk mengetahui pengaruh kombinasi auksin dan sitokinin terhadap pertumbuhan buah naga. Dilaksanakan di Laboratorium Bioteknologi Tanaman Fakultas Pertanian Universitas Tadulako, mulai Bulan April hingga Agustus 2008. Menggunakan Rancangan Acak Lengkap (RAL) terdiri dari 4 perlakuan yaitu: M1 = 2 mg/L BAP + 0,4 mg/L IAA, M2 = 3 mg/L BAP + 0,2 mg/L IAA, M3 = 2 mg/L kinetin + 0,4 mg/L NAA dan M4 = 3 mg/L Kinetin + 0,2 mg/L NAA Masing-masing perlakuan diulang sebanyak tiga kali sehingga terdapat 20 unit percobaan. Peubah yang diamati adalah jumlah tunas, duri dan akar serta pengamatan visual terhadap ukuran, bentuk, warna dan bulu akar.     Analisis Kerentanan Pantai Berdasarkan Coastal Vulnerability Index (Cvi) di Pantai Kota Makassar

    The vulnerability of Makassar coast was measured using parameters of Coastal Vulnerability Index (CVI). CVIvalue was determined using geomorphology, shoreline change, coastal slope, mean wave height, mean tidalrange, and relative sea level change parameters. The Makassar coast was divided into a numbers of cells, eachwith the length of 1 km and width of 0.5 kminto the sea. CVI values werecalculated for each cell and the coastalvulnerability wereclassifiedinto five categories: very low - low - medium - high - very high. The results show thatthe coastline with high to very high vulnerability index are located at the southern part of Makassar, while thenorthern coastline generally have low to moderate vulnerability.     When words matter: a cross-cultural perspective on lyrics and their relationship to musical emotions

    Several studies have investigated emotional reactions to instrumental music. However, studies on the effect of lyrics on emotions are limited. Previous studies suggest that the importance of lyrics may vary cross-culturally. The aim of this study was twofold: to investigate the effects of lyrics on aroused emotions and psychological mechanisms with music and to explore whether these differ cross-culturally. Fifty participants from Portugal and Sweden listened to six musical stimuli based on two songs, one representing each culture. These were presented in three versions each: the original, an instrumental, and the instrumental version with lyrics on the screen. The Portuguese and Swedish participants differed notably: the presence of lyrics did not affect listeners’ happiness in neither group as predicted, but did increase sadness, albeit only in the Portuguese group. Lyrics also increased nostalgia for the Portuguese listeners as predicted and surprise-astonishment for the Swedish listeners. Regarding the mechanisms, lyrics increased the activation of episodic memory in both groups, and the activation of evaluative conditioning, contagion, and visual imagery in the Portuguese group.     Study of Shoreline Changes at Jeneberang River Delta, Makassar

    The study of shoreline changes during 1990 - 2008 in the delta of the River Jeneberang, Makassar was conducted by evaluating sediment transport into and out of a cell. Longshore sediment transport was computed by considering the influence of heights and angles of the breaking waves. Results of calculation of sediment transport showed that the dominant of sediment transport was to the north during the arrival of the southwest and west waves, and to the south when the wave coming from the northwest. Comparison between shore profiles resulting from model and coastline satellite imagery showed similarity. The difference between the two tend to be occurred at the head land part of the shoreline. This was due to complexity of coastal dynamic at the area. The results of the 19 years shoreline simulation showed that there was a tendency of abrasion at the upsteam head land part as the wave energy tend to converge and accretion at the bay part as the wave energy tend to diverge. Abrasion mainly occurred at Tanjung Bunga (head land) where the coast retreat 181.1 m. Accretion occur in the bay area (Tanjung Merdeka) where the coast advance to the sea for about 59.8 m.     Salah satu indikator keberhasilan rumah sakit yang efektif dan efisien adalah tersedianya SDMyang cukup dengan kualitas yang tinggi, profesional sesuai dengan fungsi dan tugas setiap personel. Salahsatu metode dalam perencanaan kebutuhan tenaga kesehatan di instansi adalah dengan menghitungbeban kerjanya. Perhitungan beban kerja dapat dilakukan dengan metode Workload Indicators ofStaffing Needs (WISN) didasarkan pada beban kerja personel. Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mengetahuikebutuhan dokter umum dengan menggunakan metode Workload Indicators of Staffing Need (WISN) diRumah Sakit Umum Daerah Kabupaten Muna tahun tahun 2016. Penelitian ini merupakan jenispenelitian deskriptif kuantitatif dengan pendekatan observasional. Penelitian ini dilakukan pada bulanApril-Mei 2016. Sampel penelitian ini adalah seluruh dokter umum di Rumah Sakit Umum DaerahKabupaten Muna. Hasil penelitian ini menunjukan bahwa Waktu kerja tersedia bagi dokter umum diRumah Sakit Umum Daerah Kabupaten Muna adalah 1602 jam/tahun di Poli Umum Dan Poli Bedah dan6408 jam/tahun di UGD. Dengan kegiatan dan standar beban kerja dokter umum di Poli Umum per tahunsebesar 24030 pemeriksaan pasien baru, 48060 pemeriksaan pasien lama dan 96120 pemeriksaankesehatans, Poli Bedah sebesar 19224 pemeriksaan pasien baru, 32040 pemerik saan pasien lama, 8010tindakan medis kecil, dan 3204 tindakan medis sedang dan UGD sebesar 42720 pemeriksaan pasien.Standar 0.392 atau 33% dan 0.47 atau 47% sehingga kebutuhan dokter umum sebanyak 3-4 dokterumum. Diperlukan analisis beban kerja lebih lanjut untuk menagani kelebihan dokter umum di RumahSakit Umum Daerah Kabupaten Muna sehingga terjadi peningkatan pelayanan di Rumah Sakit UmumDaerah Kabupaten Muna khususnya pada Poli Umum, Poli Bedah, UGD dan Ruang Perawatan Kelas I, IIdan III oleh dokter umum

    Pertambangan emas yang menggunakan metode arsenik dan merkuri dalam proses pemurnian akan selalu menimbulkan dampak lingkungan. Sisa tanah hasil penambangan (tailing) akan dibuang atau didepositkan, dan akan menimbulkan masalah lingkungan dan juga mencemari pangan. Tanaman yang ditumbuhkan pada lahan terkontaminasi dapat bersifat adaptif terhadap kontaminan tetapi tidak mentranslokasikan, ataupun bersifat adaptif dan mentranslokasikan dengan dan tanpa translokasi kontaminan. Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk menguji sifat adaptif/toleran Sawi dan Tomat jika ditanam pada tanah tercemar merkuri dan juga kemampuan translokasi merkuri. Total 6 perlakuan dengan 3 kali pengulangan ditentukan untuk setiap jenis tanaman supaya dapat menarik kesimpulan penelitian, seperti perlakuan tanah tailing saja, tanah tailing campur pupuk (100 mg N, 50 mg P, dan 50 mg K), tanah tailing dengan kotoran ayam, tanah tailing dengan campuran rumput laut, tanah tailing dengan dosis pupuk rendah (50 mg N, 25 mg P dan 25 mg K), dan tanah non tailing yang dicampur pupuk N,P,K dosis rendah. Untuk sawi dan tomat digunakan masing-masing 18 unit percobaan untuk tomat. Dosis rumput laut maupun kotoran ayam adalah 5g kering angin kg-1 tanah. Statistik mengunakan analisa Anova 1 arah dengan uji lanjut BNJ. Sawi yang tumbuh pada tanah tailing terkontaminasi 85.700 ηg g-1 mentranslokasikan Hg hingga 17.477 ηg g-1 dan hanya 6.281 ηg g-1 pada tomat. Efisiensi Sawi sangat tinggi untuk membersihkan kontaminan Hg, minimal 68 kali lebih efisien dari tomat. Pemberian N, P, K pada tanah tailing berkontribusi negatif pada pertumbuhan tanaman berbeda dengan pemberian bahan organik asal kotoran ayam yang memberikan kontribusi positif pada pertumbuhan sawi maupun tomat, juga menurunkan penyerapan Hg

    Pertumbuhan Eksplan Buah Naga (Hylocereus Undatus) Pada Posisi Tanam Dan Komposisi Media Berbeda Secara in Vitro

    The aims of this experiment were to obtain the most suitable explant planting position and medium composition for the growth of dragon fruit via in vitro culture. This experiment used Split Plot Design with the main plot was explant planting position, namely vertical and horizontal positions. The sub plot was media composition, namely 2 ppm BAP + 0.40 ppm NAA; 3 ppm BAP + 0.20 ppm NAA; 2 ppm BAP + 0.40 ppm NAA + 0.88 ppm vitamin C; and 3 ppm BAP + 0.20 ppm NAA + 0.88 ppm vitamin C. Data were analysed by using Analysis of Variance and differences between treatmens were determined by Honestly Significant Difference. Results of this experiment indicated that media composition had a highly significant difference on the growth of dragon fruit explants on each planting position tested. Medium composition supplemented with 3 ppm BAP + 0.20 ppm NAA planted horizontally showed a good growth with average shoot formation 8.67 shoots and shoot length 1.76 cm per explant. Intensive root formation was observed at vertical planting position with average 7.50 roots per explant
